Please see this month's curriculum schedule below:

September 12 - 17: Basics and Forms
September 19 - 24: Self-Defense (Sparring Gear Required)
September 26 - October 1: Power and Knowledge

And please remember, in the interest of the safety of our students and to minimize injury to them, we are strictly enforcing our No Gear = No Class policy regarding sparring gear during the weeks of Sparring and Self-Defense. Please understand we only have the safety of the students in mind and cannot afford to ignore or allow these rules to slip by. The Sparring Rules and Regulations for Smith's Martial Arts Academy pertaining to safety gear states (a copy hangs on the wall in the dojhang, you may look in your Orientation booklet or you may request one from Instructor Smith before or after class):

1. ALL males MUST wear a groin protector/protective cup during Sparring and Self-Defense Week. Groin protectors are suggested for females, as well.

5. High White: Forearm Guards and Instep/Shin Guards are REQUIRED during Sparring and Self-Defense Week. Mouth pieces are suggested.

6. Yellow and Above: Forearm Guards, Instep/Shin Guards, Chest Gear and Head Gear are REQUIRED during Sparring and Self-Defense Week. Mouth pieces are suggested.

7. If a student has orthodontic braces, mouth pieces are REQUIRED.
